This collection was recorded using top-tier gear, including the Roland JD-08, Elektron Digitone, Arturia Minibrute 2S, and MiniFreak, ensuring a dynamic and versatile sound palette suited for various moods and genres.

Built from carefully selected snippets of vinyl records, this pack focuses on transformed fragments rather than full loops, pushing creative boundaries. Each sound has been processed and reshaped to stand apart from its original source, resulting in uniquely textured and expressive samples.

Extensive distortion and tape emulation were applied in post-production, infusing every element with warmth, grit, and depth. The result is a collection of raw, immersive sounds, perfect for producers seeking to craft bold, hard-hitting beats.

Each sample has been trimmed, panned, normalized and tweaked on the SP, in order to get the best sound possible, and the smoothest groove out of each kit. You will also find two original patterns/sequences per bank, which were directly programmed on the machine.

👉 How to load the Project into the SP-404 MK2 Sampler
Importing a native project into your SP-404 MK2 is the easiest thing; you can either use the Roland SP-404 MKII App (recommended), or else import directly from an SD-Card (page 103, Reference Manual).

👉 TIP: An empty project (1-16) on the machine is needed in order to import a new one; overwriting a project of choice is also possible. In any case the SP will prompt you on how to proceed. Regular backups of your projects are a good practice.
